Community Involvement
Kid Angles believes strongly in giving back to the community. Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in our own school that it is important to go outside our little school and make a difference in the community that our school is in.
NAEYC Standard 8: Community Relationships
The program establishes relationships with and uses the resources of the children’s communities to support the achievement of program goals. Relationships with agencies and institutions in the community can help a program achieve its goals and connect families with resources that support children’s healthy development and learning.
Bloomington Animal Shelter
The local Bloomington Animal Shelter had put out a call that they were in a shortage of blankets, sheets, and towels. So we asked our families for donations and we were able to deliver.
New Hope's "Hope for the Holidays"
Hope for the holiday is tree festival and charity auction to benefit New Hope for Families, serving families overcoming homelessness right here in our community. Come see more than 50 unique and festive holiday trees decorated by local businesses, organizations, groups and families. The festival is free to attend and open to the public!
Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington
We sponsor several programs as well as our CEO is volunteers on the board the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bloomington.
Since 1956, we have been dedicated to serving the youth in our local community. Located in Bloomington, IN, we annually provide extensive camps and programs during after school hours, holiday breaks and summer break.
We have three core program areas in which all program activities are formulated: Healthy Lifestyles, Academic Success, and Good Character & Active Citizenship.
Monroe County Casa
Monroe County CASA, Inc. is a non-profit organization that recruits, trains and supervises court appointed advocates to advocate for children who are involved in juvenile court due to abuse or neglect. Volunteer advocacy is based on the belief that all children are entitled to a safe and permanent home.
